Kano state Government has proposed over N 110 billion appropriation bill for 2010.  Presenting the bill before the Kano State House of Assembly, the state Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau stated that the budget with recurrent expenditure of over N 48 billion, also has over N 61 billion dedicated to capital projects. Tagged Budget of sustainable Economic Growth and Development the  2010 budget proposal is slightly higher than the passing year. The budget is to be funded from three sources, namely federal revenue allocation from the federation account, internally generated revenue IGR, as well as grants and Miscellaneous capital receipts
